New and Used Bluegrass band has at its core, three members who have been friends since high school - Ed Finkner, Toby Price and Alan Breeding. They have played for fun and in various bluegrass groups over the years. So in addition to enjoying each other's bluegrass roots, there are roots of friendship that make the band more fun. Ed Finkner (sometimes known as Fink Floyd) lives near Longwoods, Maryland (near Easton) and plays guitar and sings lead on many of the songs we perform. He is a Civil War enthusiast, as well as being a big fan (along with Alan) of "Andy of Mayberry" or "Mayberry RFD". Alan lives outside of Greensboro, Maryland and plays banjo with the group (and keeps us straight on our bluegrass facts and lyrics). Toby Price lives near Preston, Maryland and plays mandolin and sings lead and baritone. Jon Simmons lives near Greensboro, Maryland and plays fiddle and sings lead and tenor. We are currently having various guest bass players helping out (Jim Bienemann passed away in late April 2011). Among the musicians that have been graciously filling in, we've enjoyed performing with Cody Finkner, Mike McBride, Martin Wirtz, and Bryan Irwin. Hope you enjoy what you hear!
